Be an Angel

She always had a smile on her face. She lived in a small apartment at her sister's house. She had lived there for over three decades. No one would have imagined that big house without that small apartment.

Foster is about . . .

While the name “Foster” memorializes Inez Foster, who decades ago contributed funds for the inception of the church campus, it also focuses on the dictionary definition of the word: "to bring up with care; to help grow or develop." Foster is about “fostering” the nurture and vision of Jesus both for today and the future. Accordingly, Foster emphasizes three vital essentials of Christian experience: Love the Returning Christ, Love People, Serve Both. This mission is in response to Jesus’ commission: “to make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:18).

What does it mean to love the returning Christ? To respond to Christ in a grace-based personal and public fully devoted relationship with him today while anticipating his return.
What does it mean to love people? To invest in individual relationships and small group experiences in which mutual knowing, healing, and loving occurs.
What does it mean to serve both? To intentionally engage in consistent activities of service resonant with the mission of Jesus.
A SENSE OF GOD'S PRESENCE: Sometimes we work so hard to find God that we miss Him all around us. For the next five weeks we will explore how God reveals Himself to us through our five senses:
                June 7 – “Sight”
                June 14 – “Taste”
                June 21 – “Touch”
                June 28 – “Smell”
                July 5 – “Hear”
But God not only reveals Himself to us through our senses. He also invites us to reveal Him through the senses.  Bring yourself; bring your children, bring a friend; bring your Bible.  Experience worship and community at the same time in a mix of music, prayer, teaching, and interaction. Saturdays, 11:00 a.m.  A Sense of God’s Presence is for all – seekers and believers.

Experience Worship @ Foster

Commonly referred to as worship "services," Foster thinks in terms of a worship "experience."  Worship "experiences" contain music, praise, Scripture, prayer, teaching, drama, reflection, interaction, and sharing.  The way in which these occur vary from week to week.  The aim is to facilitate an experience in which one can sense God's presence.  Join us at 11:00 a.m. Saturdays, 375 Hendersonville Rd.
